From the Europe final concert of the exceptional Norwegian band MADRUGADA in the Hamburger Fabrik. Here are pictures of the great concert with my iPhone & HIPSTAMATIC. VESTERÅLEN PROJECT VOL. 7. is now up on YouTube! This time our flagship song, STRANGE COLOUR BLUE, gets the special Vesterålen treatment. Filmed at Rødbrygga, the local pub in Stokmarknes, this is exactly the kind of environment where we would have our first handful of gigs in the mid 90s. As usual, recorded live with great help from the local folks, directed by Eivind Holmboe. Big thanks to everybody who came out for this. She hopes so much that MADRUGADA will allow her to do this at a later date. Preferably in Norway on the Vesterålen. That's quite a big wish. :-)

An unforgettable experience to see the band I have loved for so long live with my camera. I was allowed to photograph the first three songs - *NOBODY LOVES YOU LIKE I DO*, *RUNNING FROM THE LOVE* & *SLOWLYTURNS THE WHEEL* and hope to do more in the near future.

My big wish to portray the band in their home country is pretty high on my agenda. The photos I took here are mostly portraits of the band members associated with each song.
Anyone who knows me knows that I like to tell picture stories. The exceptional singer SIVERT HØYEM makes it very easy for me to portray him. Also on stage he tells stories in great acoustic harmony with his wonderful band MADRUGADA. These are with him Frode Jacobsen andJon Lauvland Pettersen and with them: Cato Thommassen and Christer Knutsen. The band's stage presence is unique.
